Class Day Tomorrow

Here is a card that I worked on this weekend but didn't make the 'cut' for this month's class. I thought about having a boy's birthday card and a girl's birthday card. This was going to be the girl's (obviously). I love that extra extra wide Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon from Stampin Up. But I changed my mind at the last minute and switched it with a child's get well card that uses the Wild About You stamp set. And the boy's birthday card? I kept that idea and we'll be making it in class.

This is still a cute card, though, especially with the Baja Blue butterfly wings being so glittery with dazzling diamonds and the different pinks together (Regal Rose & Pretty in Pink). I have quite a few nieces in my family so I'm sure I'll be using this card personally at some point.

I'll be showing you the cards we are making in class tomorrow tomorrow. Ewww...that was an awkward sentence. I mean, the day after today I'll show you the cards that we are making for my stamp class, which is tomorrow. Any better? I didn't think so either.

Hey--do you see what today's card is propped up against? It is a FLOWER VASE! And it is holding real live flowers from The Accountant. He sent me flowers on April 15th. Just a little way to celebrate surviving another Tax Season. The flowers are beautiful and look like this:

And, he attached a few chocolates to the outside wrappings of these beautiful flowers and left a little romantic note tucked inside. Who says accountants aren't romantic and spontaneous? Yeah, that was probably me that said that. I apologize for saying that.

If I have time on Monday, in the afternoon, I'll post the cards we will be making. If not, you'll see them Tuesday.

The card is so simple but adorable. And I love your funny little comments about your hubbie :) TFS
