My baby sister's birthday is Thursday. I was seven when she came into this world to terrorize me and get into ALL MY IMPORTANT STUFF. I had been living the nice life. Two brothers, one older and one younger. I was the only girl and the princess (at least as I imagined it....I was more special and easier to love than those two yucky brothers.)
But I forgive her. And I even kinda like her. Even if she is seven years younger, prettier, thinner, and seven inches taller.
This card is for her. It may be late getting to her though because I put Stickles on the cupcake and if you've ever used them, you know how long they take to dry! But they are sparkly and pretty.
The card itself is based on this week's MOJO sketch from Poetic Artistry. I love her sketches! Maybe I'll even win some day.
This was the original sketch:
The only thing I changed were the three circle embellishments we were supposed to put on the right of the central image. I didn't have room. And I forgot to leave room at first. So to accommodate, and play by the rules because I'm a middle child and a rule-follower, I used my square scallop punch and some silver brads to add a little interest there. Here is how I punched the cardstock:
ingredients for this card:
paper: Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Apricot Appeal, Rainbow Sherbet DP, Whisper White
ink: Tempting Turquoise classic pad, markers--Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal, Green Galore
stamps: birthday cupcake from inkadinkado
accessories: stickles, square scallop punch (SU), oval nestabilities, silver brads, Green Galore narrow grosgrain ribbon, wide oval punch (SU)
