Happy Spring!

Yep, it is supposed to be Spring. Officially it is. But where are the warmer temps? The tree buds? The tulips and daffodils? They're not here in Michigan yet.

But today's card with a newly hatched chicky may brighten your day and make you think of Spring.

Years ago I happened to be at a farm supply store where they had these amazing little chicks for sale. Their downy pre-feathers were soft creamy yellow and they made the cutest little squeaks and peeps. I wanted to take the whole shipment home and keep them and love them forever.

My hubby was with me, however, and assured me that those cute little chicks don't stay little for long and soon grow into adult smelly mean chickens. Being a city girl and hubby being a country boy, it didn't take a whole of convincing for me to leave those chicks at the store. While chicks are adorable, chickens are NOT.
Here is the sketch I used today:
It is from Jen's website.

The stamp set is A Good Egg, from Stampin Up. The papers and ribbon are from Sale-a-bration (I seem to have....ahem....a lot of those papers and ribbon bundles..), which you can't get anymore, sorry. They are so Springy and nice I had to use them today.

Must be the "global warming" and I think your card would cheer someone up right now as they dig out of the snow. Mom
