We do not call each other sickeningly sweet pet names or nonsense names such as Sweetcakes or Bubblybear or Sugar Pie. Usually, we call each other "Hey" as in "Hey-I need some cash" (heard from me) or "Hey-I need my whites washed" (heard from him). This is fine with us.
We do, however, make it a point to kiss often. Just like the birds on this card are about to do. Usually, when The Accountant and I kiss, it is in front of the kids. Mainly to get a reaction out of them. It is hilarious how they pretend to gag but secretly love it. I think they feel safe and secure.
I hope he likes his card, although I'm not going to actually write in it or sign it or anything. This is going up on my Sample Board. But, I'm publicly letting him know that this is his Valentine's Day card from me.
The sketch/layout is from the week's splitcoast sketch challenge. Here is what we had to work with.
Colors are Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, and Close to Cocoa. The wide grosgrain ribbon is from Stampin Up and is a dream to work with. White heart brads are from Hobby Lobby. I colored the love birds with my Stampin Up watercolor pencils and blended them with an aqua painter.

NOPE! We do NOT secretely love it. We secretely hate it more than we show! Mom, it is just disgusting, and for you to actually think that we liked it......Silly you.
Jen, I see your daughter reads your blog, how cute. Love your card. Jean
