It works.....but be careful


At the end of yesterday's post, I told you that I had just read how we can sharpen our Stampin Up punches. According to some online discussions, it was reported that punching through a tin can, like a pop can (actually, I think pop cans are aluminum not tin), your punch will work as good as new.
I tried it and found that it works!
But be extremely careful. Cutting my pop can was difficult. It was hard to open it up so it would lay flat in order to get the punch on it. The edges of the aluminum were very very sharp. And while I didn't require sutures, I did give myself a nasty cut with the hack saw (pictured above).
If you try this at home, let me know how it works for you.
Also, better get some rubber gloves or an extra box of band aids before you attempt it.
