Have a Sunshiney Day!

Where did that big yellow ball in the sky disappear to? If you are hogging it somewhere south of Michigan, can you please return it?
Have you ever heard of SAD? I think it stands for Sunshine Addiction Dysfunction. Or maybe it is Seasonal Affective Disorder. It could even be Stamping Addiction Dependant. All three could very well describe me...
Anyway, I love this card because of the blatant sarcasm of it. My kind of humor!
The layout was based on this week's Mojo challenge from Poetic Artistry. I'm not very good with the diamond shape AND my sentiment didn't fit inside one anyway so I changed that up a bit.
Here is the sketch:
Papers are Sweet Always DP, chocolate chip, regal rose, pink pirouette.
I used my chocolate chip marker and edged the scallops and images with the brush tip. Just to give it some added interest. It gave it some 3D-ish effect.
There is paper piercing along the sides of the chocolate chip layer but they didn't quite show in the picture. It ties in with the paper piercing along side of my beautiful Bella struggling to wake up and drinking her morning green tea (did you know this was a self portrait of me??).

I brought my box that we made together to school for show n tell. I like how the box feels, kind of like a quilt. Thanks daughter for the memory. Have a blessed day, Mom

That IS a cute card. I love the sarcasm as well. I saw your note on my blog and decided to stop by yours and leave a reply. I have been slow to update my blog because Josie Joy Jackson decided to be born early (Friday the 21st). I have, however put something on my family blog so if you go there you will see pics. I hope to post a few more details of my experience on my blog soon.
