Only 78 days till Christmas....

I may be jumping the gun a little bit here, but did you realize Christmas is just around the corner?? I know, I can't believe it either. Usually, by now, I have all my Christmas shopping done. But then, I can't find half the stuff I thought I bought and hid away so I end up running around crazy-like right before the Holiday anyway.
This year, I decided to:
a.) scale back on my spending
b.) try to make as many gifts as possible
c.) give half the shopping list to The Accountant and let him stress it out
We'll see if it makes a difference.
Anywho, here is a sweet Christmas card that we very well may make at my Christmas Card Class in November. The unique thing about this is the Scallop Edge Medallion used as the central image. What a fun idea if you have the Scallop Edge punch from Stampin Up! You start with a piece of cardstock that is 2 3/4 by 2 3/4 square. Use your scallop punch and punch out all four sides. But don't try to figure it out with my directions. Click on this.....Scallop Edge Medallion....to see an awesomely easy tutorial on how to do it. Even if you don't make a card, you gotta try it.
Here is a side view to show you how many layers this card has. Warning! Don't look at this picture too long because you will get dizzy from the unfocused shot.
I combined the scallop edge medallion idea with this week's sketch challenge at Splitcoast. Here is the sketch.
Ingredients for this card:
paper~choc. chip, real red, kiwi kiss, baja breeze, Ski Slope DP
ink~real red
stamps~ummm....the level 1 hostess set...three punches...or something like that. Sorry, I don't have my book in front of me.
accessories~brads, scallop edge punch, silver cord, dimensionals, swirls embossing folder run through the Big Shot
