Trendy Trees

This is such a fun stamp set with those cute little trees!

But beware....they are a little difficult to work with. The trunks are one stamp and the 'leaves' are other stamps. I found it really hard to line the trunks up with the leaves--even when I pulled out the stamp-a-majig.

If you look closely at the card, you'll see how I finally solved the dilemma. I stamped the leaves first on a scrap piece of paper and colored in the trunk portion with a chocolate chip Stampin Up marker. Then, I stamped the trunk on my card. I cut out the leaves from the scrap piece and lined them up on the trunk. I put a dimensional under the leaves to pop them up. I think I need to work on this to see if there is an easier way because I adore this stamp set.

And did you notice the corduroy brad in the corner? What a great item Stampin Up made for us. Can't wait to get more of those.
