The layout was inspired by Julee's Mojo69 from last week. Here is the sketch:
I meant to post it on Friday but the kids played with my camera (our dog has been in the house because of the cold cold weather we are having and she enjoys terrorizing our poor cat, who rightfully owned us first and hates the dog for being in the house, and so the dog was chasing the cat all around our upstairs and the kids were having fun recording it on my camera) and they put the camera in some obscure place that I never thought to check. And so, I spent a large part of my Friday looking for the camera so I could photograph the card for you. I didn't find the camera till the kids came home from school and I could ask them where it was. So that is my excuse for not posting this yesterday.....
The card seems quite basic till you see it in person. The hive and the bees are loaded with Dazzling Diamonds! It is quite sparkly and cute. Can't wait to make it in class with everyone. We all end up with Dazzling Diamonds on our faces, our clothes, our hair. We are quite sparkly by the end of day.
The colors are Tango Tangerine (& TT DP), Yo Yo Yellow, and Basic Black. The stamp set is call Buzzin' By. It is brand spankin new and will be available to order on Monday (Jan 19th).
I used Staz On for the black ink because the Basic Black kept smearing the yo yo yellow marker when I colored the bees. I used an aqua painter for the hive. The nicest thing about this card (besides the Dazzling Diamonds) is that there is no cutting! My ladies always complain when they have to scissor cut objects out. This card gives them a break. Wait till they see another card, though, mwaaaa mwaaaa (insert evil laugh). You'll see that one tomorrow.
