announcing the winner of the Blog Candy....

Thanks to all those people who left comments and entered the drawing for the Blog Candy. Hey-I'm the eternal optimist and really am excited that there were SIX of you who read my blog with in the past three days! And maybe there were more but you just didn't like the prize or maybe you couldn't think of a nice comment. That is ok. I'll be giving away more in the coming weeks. I love to give things away.

Anywho, the winner is.......................#1 comment....Jean! Kind of funny how it happened: My 14 year old daughter was sitting at the kitchen table and I asked her to pick a number between 0 & 7. I didn't want to say between 1 & 6 because I always feel like the first comment and the last are never included in the pick. So, anyway, I asked her to pick between 0 & 7 and she picked number 1. I thought it sounded kind of funny. Who picks number 1?? So I went to the Random Integer Generator site and typed in the info and hit the generator button. Number 1 came up! Can you believe it? Guess it was meant to be, Jean. You are the winner.
I'll get this stamp set to you right away. It is a pretty cute set so I hope you share what you make with me and the other five readers.
Now, to explain the card at the top of the blog, this is my submission for Beate's weekend sketch challenge and also, Kristina's color inspiration. I think I'm too late to submit for Kristina's but I really liked the color combo anyway and wanted to try it. It is also using my current favorite set, Season of Friendship (which you'll be able to order October 1). You'll probably be seeing this set used quite a bit more by me.
There aren't really any special ingredients for the card but notice, I did not use any Designer Paper. Just cardstock and stamps and ink. I haven't gone with out DP for a card in quite some time. I usually use it on everything. I thought I'd challenge myself with that.
Tomorrow is Monday so you know that means the Mojo Challenge AND that all my kids are in school. Mojo + No Kids = lots of time spent stampin!
